Please read the following very carefully as the terms outlined in this document apply to all tournament packages sold by New Zealand Golf and Travel.
Payment will be required as follows:
20% non-refundable deposit within 7 days to book and confirm your reservation. This deposit indicates your acceptance of the terms of trade as indicated by this document and is non-refundable. This allows us to secure tee times, hotel accommodation, transport requirements and further services required. Remaining balance required 60 days before date of departure. If the reservation is made less than 60 days before departure date, the full price is due immediately. Domestic flights are a separate charge and if required must be paid in full at time of booking. Final payment must be received by Golf Travel New Zealand Limited at least 60 days prior to departure. Payment for travel arrangements may be made by direct deposit or credit card (MasterCard/VISA may incur transaction fees). Credit Card payments are processed through Payment Express and the name on your credit card statement will be displayed as Golf Travel New Zealand Limited. All pricing is in NZ dollars and the exchange rate is set at the time of processing the payment.
We recommend that you take out a Travel Insurance policy contemporaneously with the payment of your travel. You should ensure that such Insurance provides you with cover against the financial collapse of all parties involved in providing services on our behalf during your holiday/travel, and that it will protect you against medical expenses arising from sickness or injury during your travel, and protect you also against loss or damage to your belongings.
Cancellations by the client must be in writing and are subject to the following forfeit of cost per person:
• Cancellation 60 days or more before departure date: 20% of the package value lost.
• Cancellation between 60 days and 14 days before departure date: 70% of the package value lost.
• Cancellation less than 14 days before departure date: 100% of the package value lost.
Unfortunately there can be no exceptions to this. We highly recommend Travel Insurance as your safeguard.
GROUP TOURS CANCELLED BY THE OPERATOR
A minimum number of bookings are required to operate a tour and also to ensure an enjoyable group atmosphere. Where sufficient numbers cannot be achieved, the Company reserves the right to cancel a scheduled departure. The decision to operate the tour is usually made 30 days prior to the schedule departure date, however in some instances; this decision may not be available until 2 days prior to the departure date.
Where a tour is cancelled prior to the departure date we shall endeavour to offer the nearest possible alternative tour (subject to a refund or payment to cover any tour price difference) or, if this is not acceptable, refund in full.
Where airfares have been purchased to coincide with a cancelled tour we shall endeavour to find alternative arrangements to suit the dates of your existing itinerary. Any additional costs will be the responsibility of the passengers.
PASSPORT AND VISA REQUIREMENTS
Prior to confirming your travel arrangements, you should check your Passport and establish that it will remain current for the entire period of your travel.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all necessary travel documents (e.g. passports, visas) are valid and effective. We strongly recommend that you verify current information with your Travel Agent or the nearest New Zealand consulate office.
Please note that prior to final account payments our affiliated suppliers and we reserve the right to increase prices without notice. Changes may be due to such factors as international exchange rates, alterations to golf course, accommodation and operator prices. We recommend that you check the final price prior to making your final payment, after which there will be no further increases.
No refunds will be made once travel has commenced; nor will any refund be available in respect of any tours, accommodation, hires, services or inclusions not utilized. We strongly recommend travel insurance cover for such eventualities.
Weather interruptions to itineraries/tour packages are beyond our control. We will do all possible to rearrange services in such event, but cannot be held financially responsible for interruption under such circumstances. We strongly recommend travel insurance cover for such eventualities. Payments unused are non-refundable unless cancelled by the operator of the service. The itinerary is subject to availability of courses and accommodations used for quotation.
AUTHORITY TO DISCLOSE INFORMATION
In the event that an accident, disaster or emergency is reported to have occurred in New Zealand we may need to disclose to the your country’s Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, details of your itinerary (including without limitation, transport and accommodation arrangements) and contact details. Please advise us if you do not authorise Golf Travel New Zealand Limited to disclose such information.
Quotes are used to give an indication of overall travel costs and do not reflect the availability or finalized pricing of products.
The following costs are not included in quoted fees and are the responsibility of the client: all airport arrival/departure taxes, charges for excess luggage, personal services, gratuities, car-parking, petrol, laundry, drinks and meals except as specified, pre-travel documentation, personal accident and medical expenses and incidental expenses including all communication charges incurred on the passenger’s behalf.
OUR ROLE AS YOUR TRAVEL AGENT
Golf Travel New Zealand Limited strives to obtain and/or provide tickets, vouchers and product orders for the transport, accommodation and other services agreed upon on your behalf. All bookings made are subject to terms and conditions imposed by accommodation providers, transport operators, golf courses and all other travel provider. Please ensure you are familiar with all terms and conditions relating to your booking.
Golf Travel New Zealand Limited and its employees shall not accept liability for any failure or delay in performing its obligations or for any loss or damage suffered by you or any third party.
All prices included in print form are based on current exchange rates and are subject to any increases advised to us by the providers of services. Once full payment is received there will be no further account increases. Golf Travel New Zealand acts as an agent for all providers, all arrangements are subject to their terms and conditions as set out in their brochures, vouchers and other documentation.
ACCURACY and INFORMATION
Golf Travel New Zealand Limited has taken all care to ensure published information and prices are accurate however if we identify an error or omission following publication, we will inform you before confirming your booking.
The revised information will then form part of your contract. If an error or omission is discovered after your booking is made, we will always try to advise you prior to your holiday.
We cannot accept any responsibility in any ruling by the hotel/golf course/restaurant/bar if you or any of your group is unable to play or attend due to inappropriate attire.
Please check before you travel that your group is aware of appropriate golfing and dining attire.
STANDARD OF PLAY/GOLF ETIQUETTE
Knowledge of golf etiquette and the rules of golf are expected by all members of your group.
CONDITION OF GOLF COURSE
The condition of golf courses varies throughout the year. General golf course maintenance on tee boxes, fairways and greens are an essential feature of golf course preparation. Golf Travel New Zealand Limited cannot be held responsible for the impact of such work.
The descriptions of the hotels, golf courses, activities and other aspects of the holidays are based on opinions gained on site visits and on the opinions of the company providing the product or service. We are not always able to exercise control over all the components of the holiday arrangements and it is possible that an advertised amenity be withdrawn or changed due to various reasons such as water conservation, renovation work, etc. We will advise you if we become aware of a major change but we cannot accept liability for loss, damage or inconvenience in such circumstances.
Throughout your booking with Golf Travel New Zealand Limited you accept full liability for any damage or loss caused by you or any associated member of your group.
WEATHER CONDITIONS DURING YOUR GOLF HOLIDAY
Bad weather is unavoidable during the course of the year and as a result golf courses may either close or the golf course will operate temporary tees and greens at their sole discretion. Golf courses reserve the right to close or operate temporary tee boxes / greens.
Golf Travel New Zealand Limited acts as an agent for each hotel, activities and attractions. If you have a complaint or experience any problems during your holiday please inform the hotel immediately during your golf holiday. We recommend that you speak to the Hotel General Manager and take the matter up with him/her directly. If you do not reach an acceptable conclusion during your golf holiday please notify us by email email@example.com
Please note that all extra's consumed on site such as food, drink, entertainment, spa treatments and transport not included in your purchased package must be paid for by you and your booking with Golf Travel New Zealand Limited only includes the package set out in your confirmation email and invoice. We accept no liability for any charges you consume on site in relation to any extras outside of your package.
CHANGES and CANCELLATIONS BY US
Golf Travel New Zealand Limited reserves the right to make changes to and correct errors on our website and in our brochure both before and after bookings have been confirmed.
Golf Travel New Zealand Limited will not be liable for additional expenses incurred through travel delay, Acts of God, force majeure or events beyond our control. Force majeure is unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control such as war or threat of war, riots, civil unrest, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions.
If you have any complaints concerning any services we provide you must inform us in writing by letter or email within 28 days of your date of return. Any assistance provided in resolving a complaint in relation to any booking is provided on a goodwill basis and in our capacity as an agent. If you have a complaint concerning any services we provide, as opposed to any service provided by any third party such as a hotel for whom we are not responsible, you must inform us immediately in writing within 28 days of your departure date. We regret we cannot accept any liability if we are not so notified. Our maximum liability to you if we are found to have been at fault in relation to any service we provide is limited to the commission we have earned or are due to earn in relation to the booking in question.
SPECIAL REQUESTS and MEDICAL PROBLEMS
If you have any special requests, you must advise us at the time of booking. Although we will endeavour to meet any such requests we regret we cannot guarantee to do so.
Golf courses reserve the right to alter confirmed tee times. If your confirmed golf club cancel your reservation or change your tee time we will try to find a suitable alternative.
For Hosted tours, you are also responsible for respecting the authority and following the directions of the tour guide during a tour. We may exclude you from participating in all or any part of the tour if, in our sole discretion, your condition or behaviour renders you unfit for the tour or unfit for continuation once the tour has begun. Unfitness may include, without limitation, any behaviour that, regardless of its cause, is inappropriate or offensive or interferes with the delivery of tour services, or may constitute a hazard or embarrassment. In such case, our liability shall be strictly limited to refund of the recoverable cost of any unused portion of the tour. Should you decide not to participate in certain parts of the tour or use certain goods included in the tour, no refunds will be made for those unused parts of the tour or goods. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any costs, damages, losses, or liabilities arising out of your or your companions' actions or omissions.
For any reason one of our premium hosts cannot host a scheduled tour New Zealand Golf and Travel will endeavour to match the experience with one of our other premium host filling in or you can re-schedule on the next available tour with this guide.
