Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Southern Alps, Terrace Downs delivers one of New Zealand’s most spectacular high-country golfing experiences. The 18-hole, par-72 championship course sits in the foothills of the mountains, where expansive alpine scenery and river-canyon views create a dramatic setting for every round.
Designed by Sid Puddicombe, the course offers plenty of variety, with a more sheltered, parkland-style front nine giving way to an open, links-style back nine. The layout provides an enjoyable challenge for golfers of differing abilities, while the changeable high-country conditions add another dimension to the experience.
